Solix, Inc., a business process solutions provider that helps connect people to essential programs and services, today announced it has become a preferred vendor for the Association for Community Affiliated Plans (ACAP). ACAP is a national trade association representing not-for-profit Safety Net Health Plans that collectively serves more than 25 million enrollees through Medicaid, CHIP, Medicare, Marketplaces, and other public health coverage programs.

For the first time since the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency was declared, Medicaid and CHIP re-determinations will be conducted during 2023. Safety Net Plans are an important part of the national effort to implement effective outreach and education campaigns to help ensure that eligible Medicaid beneficiaries do not lose their health insurance coverage.

For more than 20 years, Solix has been at the forefront of developing secure and compliant solutions that allow people to apply for critical assistance from public benefit programs. The Company has served as administrator of complex regulatory programs, provided comprehensive eligibility determination and enrollment services, deployed web-based and mobile technology solutions, and provided multi-channel customer care for projects ranging from national to state and county-level initiatives. Solix’ expertise includes working with Medicaid programs and health insurers to support eligibility and enrollment processes, identify and execute efficiencies, and enhance customer service.

“The wave of redeterminations associated with the Medicaid unwinding is unprecedented—it will place new demands and pose new challenges for everyone with a stake in Medicaid,” said Margaret A. Murray, CEO, ACAP. “We’re delighted to welcome Solix to the circle of ACAP Preferred Vendors—our member Safety Net Health Plans have a lot to talk about with respect to redeterminations and we look forward to learning from them.”

With Solix as a partner, public and private sector organizations, including health plans, can simplify complex requirements and improve the user experience for programs that have a significant impact on the well-being of individuals and organizations across the country. The Company provides process and customer care solutions that result in more than $2 billion in annual funding. Solix employees are proud of the fact that they have a positive impact on so many lives throughout the United States, exemplified by our recent work on pandemic response and economic recovery initiatives including rental assistance and small business grant programs.
